Job One Ends Residential Drop-off Recycling Program
If you are a Grandview resident and you take recyclables to the Job One facility in Grandview, you need to start looking for a new facility. As of Friday, December 1, Job One will no longer be accepting drop-off recycling from residents. CEO Aaron Martin says the Job One Board of Directors made the decision after months of analysis, "The board made the decision in the interest of sustainability and delivering the best possible programming to those we serve." The move will not impact commercial recycling services for businesses.
Grandview encourages you to recycle. Bridging the Gap operates a nearby recycling facility at 5200 E. Red Bridge Road in South Kansas City, MO where you can take your items. Hours are Wednesday-Saturday 9:00 a.m.-5 p.m. You can also ask your waste provider if they accept recycling. That will most likely affect your current rates.
