Mayor and Board of Aldermen
randview's elected officials have an impressive 75+ combined years of service in their respective offices-that's not including previous service on other boards, committees or commissions! All of the City's officials actively participate in local, state and national organizations for the betterment of the community. Among those organizations are the Missouri Municipal League, West Gate Division of the Municipal League, and the National League of Cities. All of the elected officials volunteer and serve as liaisons on the City's standing boards and commissions and other ad hoc committees as needed, in addition to the time they devote to various community and charitable organizations.

Served as planning commissioner for the City of Plymouth, Minnesota
Veteran U.S. Navy 1962-1966
Graduated FBI National Academy 154th Session and 33rd Session of FBI Law Enforcement Executive Development Program, both at Quantico, Virginia.
Mayor Beckers is a retired law enforcement professional, with 36 years of service. He served as Chief of Police for the City of Grandview for 13 years before retiring in January, 2005. Mayor Beckers and his wife, Patti, relocated from Minnesota to the City in 1991.

Alderman Jones has been a resident of Grandview for over thirty years. Alderman Jones graduated from Grandview High School. He served as a Supply Corps officer in the U.S. Naval Reserves. He has been employed by Sprint for over 18 years. He and his wife, Michelle, have three daughters and two grandsons.

Recently started his own community service organization called Matters of the Heart.
Boards and Commissions: Chairman of the Grandview Community Center task force.
A life-long resident of Grandview, Alderman Dennis has been a Grandview resident since his family moved here when he was 4 years old. Alderman Dennis went through the entire Grandview school system and graduated from Grandview High School. He and his wife Kelli have three children. Alderman Dennis is Director of Marketing at Medical Imaging, Inc, an area radiology services provider.

Alderman McKinstry has lived in Grandview for 8 years and works for Sprint Corporation as a Strategy Manager. She and her husband, Joe (a Detective Sergeant for the Grandview Police Department) have four children, one granddaughter and one grandson. Alderman McKinstry is a graduate of Lee's Summit High School. She attended the University of Michigan School of Business.

Alderman Crain is a Kansas City native and a resident of Grandview for over fifty years. He is a Vietnam veteran and served as a U.S. Army infantry officer. He retired from Hallmark Cards in 2004 after 34 years of service. He and his wife, Vonda, have two daughters, two grandsons and three granddaughters.

Alderman Preyer is currently employed by a remodeling firm. He has experience as a cabinet maker, carpenter and elementary school teacher. He, his wife Tina, and their 4 sons have been residents of the City for over 12 years.
