Welcome to the City of Grandview; a community rich in history and pride. As you visit our site, please take your time so that you can see how much Grandview truly has to offer. Whether you are moving to Grandview, visiting Grandview, opening a new business, thinking about joining a city commission, or getting your driver’s license; you will find that Grandview’s citizens, elected leaders, and City staff are always ready and willing to help.
Grandview is a great place to live, work, and play. Our state-of-the-art community center, The View, is perfect for working out, meeting new friends, and hosting events. When driving down Main Street on your way to lunch or to pick up some fresh produce at the Farmer’s Market, you may notice that the fountain in front of City Hall is boasting a bright color such as green for St. Patrick’s Day, pink for breast cancer awareness month, or royal blue to celebrate the Royal’s season opener.
I would like to invite everyone to bring their friends and family to Grandview each May to help us celebrate Harry’s Hay Days, our local parade and festival honoring our 33rd President, Harry S. Truman. Then in September, we set out our lawn chairs and picnic blankets to listen to some moving jazz music during Jazz Blast, an amplification of Kansas City’s profound jazz history.
As you can see, I am proud of my community, and I hope that you will feel free to contact City Hall if you have any questions or concerns. We work around the clock to make sure that we protect, grow, and shape Grandview toward a prosperous future.
Sincerely,

Mayor Robert M. Beckers and the Board of Aldermen
