The 4,830-acre Longview Lake recreation area is on the city’s northeast border. Nestled along U.S. Highway 71, our centrally-located, dynamic town is just minutes south of bustling Kansas City. It was here in Grandview on his family's farm where President Harry Truman first started his journey into a life of public service.
