FWI Community Recycling Center
FWI held the grand opening of its new recycling center on November 13, 2008. The center provides a much-needed recycling service for the city of Grandview, Mo., diverting tons of waste from local landfills and providing good jobs for people with disabilities.
A clean, safe, modern facility
You will always find our facility at 4280 Main Street to be clean, well lit, and safe. We monitor our facility 24-7 with security cameras for added safety.

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday
8 a.m. — 3 p.m.
Pick-up service
Industrial and commercial pickup routes run Monday through Friday. Contact FWI for more information about our pickup service.
What can be recycled at the center?
• Newspapers (remove from plastic)
• Chipboard
• Aluminum cans and foil
• Tin cans (please rinse)
• Cardboard and paper bags
• Clothing and shoes
• White paper
• Mixed paper — junk mail, colored paper, file folders, construction paper, phone books
• Plastic #1 & #2(please rinse) — see bottom of container. Plastic bags accepted.
• Batteries
• Printer Cartridges
We do not accept
• Glass of any kind
• Hazardous materials
• Yard or organic waste
Directions
We are located at 4280 Main Street in Grandview.
• If driving from the east, turn right at the second drive past the Kansas City Southern Railroad Tracks.
• If driving from the west, turn left at the first drive after you cross Second Street.
