The public is invited to an Open House on Tuesday, September 29, 2009 starting at 7:00 PM in the Grandview City Hall, located at 1200 Main, Grandview, MO.
The City of Grandview has contracted with BHC Rhodes, along with Ochsner Hare & Hare, to design the implementation of the first phase of the Main Street Corridor Plan. The first phase will encompass the area from 5th Street to just east of Grandview Rd. The purpose of this open house is to solicit input from property owners, business owners, and the general public about both their vision for, and concerns about, a project that could begin the realization of the 2004 Main Street Corridor Plan. This has been proposed to involve a new streetscape, landscape, and lighting for this phase of the corridor.
While surveying has been completed, the design team has not yet begun preparing any plans for construction. The Board of Aldermen and City staff wants to know what you think prior to preparing any of these plans.
The open house will start at 7:00 PM with introductions and a presentation of the project area and examples of possible improvements which may be included in final construction. After this presentation, citizens are invited to speak with members of the design team and City staff to discuss their ideas and concerns. Those who have comments are strongly encouraged to utilize the questionnaires provided at the meeting to make written comments about the project.
