MESSAGE from the chief of police
I am honored to serve as the Chief of Police for the City of Grandview. I am energized and optimistic about the future of our department and our City. We have an excellent staff of men and women dedicated to the citizens of Grandview. Our police personnel are committed to the ideal of excellence. Excellence can be defined as going far beyond the line of duty, doing more than others expect. It comes from striving toward and maintaining the highest standards, looking for the smallest detail, and going the extra mile.
In order to achieve excellence, we are dedicated to the concept of Community Oriented Policing (COP). COP is predicated on seeking input from the community on law enforcement and quality of life issues. I want the citizens of Grandview to “move toward the badge, not away from the badge.” I want a comfort level with our officers, where we can all work together. The police department continues to foster the relationships we have established, while building new ones. Ultimately we all share the same goal – to reduce crime and have a better quality of life for our friends, families and citizens. I encourage you to get involved with your home owner associations, schools, churches and yes, the police department.
Through collaboration and cooperation we can reach our goal of increased public safety and a better quality of life. We are committed to creating a climate of mutual respect and trust through positive interaction with our citizens. We value your comments and input. Please feel free to contact me or any member of your Grandview Police Department.
