Our Mission
The Grandview Area Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit organization established to serve the business community through promoting a positive business environment and encouraging economic growth, leadership, education and interaction.

Who
The Grandview Area Chamber is made up of 250 members and 355 representatives. About two-thirds of our members are located in Grandview. The remaining members hail from South Kansas City, Belton, Raymore, Lee’s Summit and Johnson County, Kansas.

Our membership is made up of small business and large employers, representing retail, service, and industry. About half of our membership has five or fewer employees, but we also have many members that have 200 or more employees thanks to the strong industrial base that calls Grandview home.

Our organization has a full-time staff of 3 with many years experience in the business as either a paid staff person or volunteer for a chamber organization. We manage a budget of $210,000 and are governed by a 19-member Board of Directors, elected to represent their segment of the membership.

The Grandview Chamber also has a strong Economic Development Council, a division of the Chamber, with a membership of over 40 public and private businesses that support that effort. The main focus of GAEDC is to provide business retention and expansion services as well as work with the City’s Economic Development and Community Development Departments in recruiting new business to the community.

Each year, the Chamber Board, staff and committees prepare and implement a Business Plan to drive the goals and work of the Chamber. The Board monitors monthly success through an organizational scorecard.
