As a Customer Service Assistant, you will work directly with customers to process driver licensing and vehicle registration transactions while ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and exceptional service.

Position Summary

Under the supervision of the License Office Manager, the Customer Service Assistant is responsible for assisting customers with DMV-related services, processing applications, collecting fees, maintaining records, and supporting daily office operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist customers with DMV transactions and questions
  • Receive, review, and process license and registration applications
  • Verify customer documentation and information for accuracy
  • Issue license plates, stickers, and driver licenses
  • Process payments, collect fees, and maintain accurate cash records
  • Assist customers in completing forms and understanding requirements
  • Take applicant photos and laminate licenses
  • Maintain organized files and application records
  • Run daily activity reports and complete deposit forms
  • Answer phones, route calls, and relay messages professionally
  • Support office operations and perform additional duties as assigned

Minimum Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • At least one year of customer service, clerical, administrative, or cash-handling experience
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered

Schedule varies week to week; schedule is created a week in advance; could be a mix of shifts and need to be open to all possibilities.

The License Office is open M/T/Th/F 8am-5pm, W 8am-7pm, and Saturdays 8am-12pm.

Looking for friendly people who are able to work 20-29 hours (part time), including Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings.

Position Requirements

· Must be able to pass a criminal background check (including fingerprints)

· Must be current on all Personal Property and Income Taxes

· Must be able to prove legal registration for all owned vehicles (yourself and spouse if applicable)
