Affordable Housing and Grandview
Grandview is proud to be a part of Mid-America Regional Council's (MARC) First Suburbs Coalition. Alderman Damon Randolph serves as co-chair of the group with focuses on opportunities and challenges around housing affordability in first tier suburbs.
In partnership with the National League of Cities (NLC), MARC’s First Suburbs Coalition hosted its first regional housing summit in July. The summit is part of the new First Tier Suburbs Council Economic Development Summit Pilot Project, an initiative developed in partnership between NLC and TIP Strategies. The NLC created the pilot program to bring together local leaders and stakeholders to identify a collaborative path to address economic development issues, such as the region's housing challenges.
Local government officials, city planners and staff, housing developers, lenders, landlords, realtors and other stakeholders attended the event. Watch the video here:
