Collections & DMV Open for Business Monday, May 18

On Monday, May 18, Grandview City Hall will be open to the public by appointment only and allowing only 15 people in at a time. This includes Tax Collections and DMV Licensing Offices. 

If you choose to do business in-person inside City Hall, there are new entry requirements
1) sign in at www.grandview.org/qless
2) Please do not arrive until its close to your appointment time
3) you will be called to the door for a temperature check 
4
) all guests will need to wear a mask (we can provide you with one)

Other options and lists of required documents are below:

TAX PAYMENTS

These services include:

  • individual personal property taxes
  • business property taxes
  • real estate taxes

Over-the-Phone Processing

  • Scan, or take a picture of your real estate or personal property tax statement.
  • If you do not have your property tax statement we can look up account information over-the-phone at (816) 316-4844.
  • Include a valid phone number where the Collections Office can contact you to complete the transaction.
  • Email to countytax@grandview.org.
  • Payment will be via credit or debit card (including a processing fee).
  • Expect a 24-48 hour delay in processing over-the-phone transactions.

Drop-Off

You can also drop-off payment at City Hall at the mail slot at the main entrance. Payment will be through credit or debit card (including a processing fee) or check. DO NOT INCLUDE CASH! If paying by credit or debit card, please provide a valid phone number where the Collections Office can contact you to complete the transaction. If paying by check, please include your real estate or personal property tax statement and check for the exact amount. You should expect a 24-48 hour delay in processing drop-off transactions. 

Mail Service

Mail to 1200 Main Street, Grandview, MO 64030. Payment will be through credit or debit card (including a processing fee) or check. DO NOT INCLUDE CASH! You should expect a 24-48 hour delay in processing mailed transactions.

  • Credit/Debit card transactions: provide a valid phone number where the Collections Office can contact you to facilitate completion of the transaction.
  • Check payments: please include your real estate or personal property tax statement and check for the exact amount.

DMV LICENSING OFFICE


In-Person Processing

A limited number of customers will be permitted into City Hall to process License Office transactions.  Walk-ins are not permitted at the current time.  To reserve your place in line please use Q-Less, the City’s line management system.  Access to Q-Less is accomplished in several ways:  via the City’s web site at www.grandview.org/qless; or download the Q-Less app and find “City of Grandview”.  Waiting times may vary and we ask that you don’t arrive at City Hall until close to the time of your appointment.  Everyone entering City Hall will have their temperature taken and be required to wear a mask while in the building. *Driver's Licenses, Non-Driver's Licenses and Real IDs can only be processed in person and is currently accepting appointments.

Over-the-Phone Processing

  • vehicle registration notice
  • safety inspection
  • previous years’ (2018 & 2019) paid personal property tax receipt or statement of non-assessment
  • current insurance identification card

Email to: grandviewdmv@grandview.org and include a valid phone number where the License Office can contact you to facilitate completion of the transaction. Payment will be via credit or debit card and will include a processing fee.  You should expect a 24 hour delay in processing over-the-phone transactions.

New Vehicles

  • original title assigned to new owner
  • bill of sale
  • invoice or application for Missouri title and license certified by dealership safety inspection or VIN and odometer verification from Missouri inspector, if applicable
  • current insurance card
  • previous years’ (2018 & 2019) personal property tax receipts
