Grandview Police Department is always exploring more ways to keep your family safe. That’s why it now has a team of officers trained and certified to install and inspect child car seats and booster seats.
The National Highway and Transportation Safety Association recently certified Grandview PD as an official “fitting station” after four Grandview Police Officers took the training to become certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians.
These officers can install and/or inspect car seats and booster seats based on officer availability. Those needing a Spanish-speaking officer, please let us know when scheduling. Interested parents and caregivers can make an appointment by:
SEAT REQUIREMENTS:
- Car seats must be new or known to have never been in a vehicle crash.
- Car seats must be expired.
- New car seats can remain in the box. Officers will unpack the seat and install.
