The City of Grandview is one step closer to breaking ground on significant improvements to a heavily used section of the Harry S Truman Presidential Trail.
Proposed improvements would start at Southview Park and along Harry Truman Drive to Raytown Road. Current plans include installation of a historic and restored Bailey Bridge the city acquired in 2016. The bridge would span an arm of the Longview Lake Greenway for pedestrians and bicyclists.
City engineers and designers will host a public meeting for design reviews, questions and feedback Tuesday, October 21st from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Grandview City Hall Board Chambers located at 1200 Main Street. The meeting will be open-house style.
Construction is expected to begin in Spring 2026.
