  • Building Permit

    Click the Permit Application Portal button below to access building permit applications. Contractors are required to create an account prior to applying.

In order for the permit to be processed and issued in a timely manner, a contractor must obtain an Occupational License.

In accordance with 6-10.3, A single-family homeowner may apply for their own permits. However, for mechanical, electrical and plumbing work, the homeowner must furnish satisfactory evidence they intend to do the proposed work themselves. An acknowledgement waiver will be provided during the permit application process.

NEW RESIDENTIAL HOME OR HOME ADDITIONS 

- Electronically submit an application including the plans and a property survey to the Permit Application Portal

- Provide two (2) paper copies of the plans and survey with the completed permit application to the Community Development Department - Building Services Division.

- Floor plans shall include all dimensions, wall sections, elevations, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, structural member materials (ceiling and floor joists, beams, and roof rafters) to include spacing, spans, sizes, grade, and species of lumber to be used. 

- Property surveys shall be prepared by a licensed architect, engineer, or land surveyor

COMMERCIAL BUILDINGS

- All new commercial projects, including a change of use, require a site plan package to be submitted prior to the acceptance of building permit. See the Development Services Division page for further information. 

- Electronically submit an application including the plans to the Permit Application Portal

- Provide four (4) paper copies of the plans with the completed permit application to the Community Development Department - Building Services Division.
