After months of reviews, ordinance revisions, and public hearings, the Board of Aldermen passed a zoning ordinance amendment defining where medical marijuana dispensaries-- along with growing, extraction, and testing facilities-- can be located within Grandview city limits and must abide by the following:

  • 1000-foot minimum distance (measured by legal walking distance) between medical marijuana dispensaries and churches, daycares and schools
  • A straight line distance requirement of 200 feet between all medical marijuana facilities and properties zoned residential
  • Dispensaries can operate in zoning districts where other commercial uses are permitted.
  • All other medical marijuana facilities will be able to operate in zoning districts where industrial uses are permitted.
