Grandview Fire Department EMS assesses, treats, stabilizes, and transports patients until definitive medical care is available and initiated at an appropriate medical facility.

The highly educated EMS personnel of the Grandview Fire Department pursue excellence in their profession by combining the benefits of medical science with the art of compassionate care. In all cases, potential patients are approached with the greatest professionalism and concern for their well being.

The EMS program is integrated into and administered over all members of the Grandview Fire Department . As a result, all fire fighters are also EMS-experienced in emergency rescue, extrication, and the suppression and confinement of hazardous materials. All firefighters are specifically trained and annually re-trained in EMS activities. All of Grandview’s fire trucks and ambulances are ALS units meaning that all fire department vehicles have at least one EMT-Paramedic onboard while the others are EMT-Basic. 

Grandview Fire Department EMS is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment including cardiac monitors that can pinpoint where a heart attack is happening on the heart and power cots.
