The Grandview Shooting Range on the northwest side of Grandview, MO is used by the Grandview Police Department, Honeywell Security team, and the public. The Shooting Range will open to the Public every Saturday from 10:00AM-4:00PM. The range will have 5 lanes open until further notice.

No gunsmith on premises.

NO AMMUNITION, FIREARMS, OR CASH ARE STORED ON THE PREMISES.

Lane Rental: $7 per lane (up to 2 people per lane)

Eye Protection Rental: $1.50 each
Ear Protection Rental (noise cancelling headphones): $5.00 each

Purchase Targets: $1.00 each

We do not sell ammunition or rent firearms.

Range Rules & Firearms Safety

Violation of Range Rules will result in removal of participant from the range.

• All firearms entering or leaving the range must be unloaded and cased.
• Eye and ear protection must be worn at all times by everyone on the range.
• All handling and loading of firearms must be done on the firing line.
• Firearms must be pointed down range at all times.
• Never cross in front of the firing line.
• Only one person may shoot in a lane at a time. Maximum of two people per lane.
• Shooters under 18 must be accompanied by aa parent or guardian.
• Shoot only at targets in your lane. No shooting across lanes.
• No drawing from a holster and all firing must be controlled and deliberate.
• After shooting, each person is required to clean up their lane of any trash or debris. All brass left becomes property of the City of Grandview.
• Smoking, eating, or drinking is not permitted on the firing line.
• Any person suspected of being under the influence of drugs or alcohol will not be permitted to use the facility.
• If a malfunction occurs which you are unable to resolve, bench the firearm and notify the Range Safety Officer. The Range Safety Officer will assist with making the weapon safe. They will NOT repair a damaged or broken firearm.
• When "CEASE FIRE" is called:
  • Open action, unload all firearms.
  • Muzzleloaders-pull percussion cap or blow priming charge from the pan. No open containers of powder.
  • Place all firearms with muzzles pointing down range.
  • Do not handle firearms for any reason during "cease fire."
  • Wait for "Line is Clear" command to go down range.
  • Use center lane to go down range.
  • Stay on pathways when down range.
  • One target frame per lane.
  • Do not load firearm until command is given.
• Weapon and Caliber Restrictions:
  • No calibers equal to or great than .50.
  • No full-auto or automatic burst capable weapons.
  • No armor-piercing, green tip, incendiary or tracer admonition.
  • No belt-fed firearms.
  • The City reserves the right to exclude any weapon or ammunition not listed that is deemed a safety concern or poses a threat of damage to the range. to be determined by the Range Safety Officer.

Four Cardinal Rules of Firearms Safety

1. Treat every firearm as if it were loaded.
2. Never point a gun at anything you are not willing to destroy.
3. Keep your finger off of the trigger until you are ready to shoot.
4. Know your target and what is beyond.

Check-In

• Please arrive 10-15 minutes before your timeslot (on the hour, every hour)
• Valid ID (office will keep until you check-out)
• Cash only until further notice
• Proof of eye & ear protection (you may rent or purchase protection if needed)
• Firearms & ammunition must remain in case, until directed by a Range Safety Officer
• You will not be able to enter the range until your designated time. The Range Safety Officer will allow you inside once all participants are checked in.
• You must sign the waiver and watch the safety video prior to using the range (required annually).

On the Range

• Range Safety Officers will put up targets.
• Range Safety Officers will give directions while on the range. 
• All participants will shoot from the same distance. Range Safety Officers will direct everyone where to stand and will choose when participants will change distances.
• There are no instructors on the premises, if you've never handled a firearm before, we strongly suggest taking a course with a local range or organization.

Check-Out

• Return any rented equipment.
• I.D. will be returned to you.
