Grandview Police Department is now a certified car seat and booster seat installation and inspection location. Installation and inspections are available by appointment only. A Spanish-speaking officer is available. 

You can make an appointment by:

To ensure the safety of children, officers can only install infant car seats and booster seats that are new or seats that are known by the parent or caregiver to never have been in a vehicle wreck or accident. 

When bringing a new seat, please leave it in the box for officers to unpack and install. 

CERTIFICATION: 

Safe Kids Worldwide is the non-profit organization that aims to reduce unintentional injury to children, the leading cause of death for children aged 0-14, through education, awareness, and safety device distribution. The Child Passenger Safety Technician program is a facet of Safe Kids which partners with NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) specifically for the curriculum and recommendation and guidance on the safety seats.
