The City of Grandview local government is made up of:

As the governing body of the City, the Mayor and Board of Aldermen have the authority to:

  • give final approval to most development applications
  • hold public hearings
  • make the final decisions on Comprehensive Plan Amendments, Zoning & Subdivision Text Amendments, Rezonings, Conceptual Development Plans, Planned Developments (PD), Conditional Use Permits, and Final Plat. 

The Board holds its business meetings on the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month at City Hall. Board of Aldermen meeting agendas and minutes are prepared by the City Clerk’s Office and can be found below by clicking on the Agendas and Minutes button.

Grandview's elected officials actively participate in local, state and national organizations for the betterment of the community such as theMissouri Municipal Leagueand its West Gate Division,and the National League of Cities.

All of the elected officials volunteer and serve as liaisons on the City's standing boards and commissions and other adhoc committees as needed, in addition to the time they devote to various community and charitable organizations.
