Alderwomen Irene C. Kendrick grew up in Grandview. She and her husband, William, have been married for 39 years. They raised their three children, who attended Hickman Mills and Grandview school districts and are now raising their three grandchildren, who attend school in the Hickman Mills school district. Irene also serves on the Hickman Mills School Board.
Irene attended DeVry University, majored in Human Resource Management, and worked as a benefits specialist at Sprint in the HR dept. Irene is semi-retired and works part-time as a substitute teacher in the Grandview School District. She is committed to her community, and her model is If you love your community, you serve your community. Irene has instilled in her family the importance of volunteering and serving others.
