In April, 2022 Grandview voters overwhelmingly approved three questions in a $21 million NO TAX INCREASE bond package for facilities, streets, and the fire department.
The Mayor, Grandview Board of Aldermen and City staff are keeping you informed about the GO bond projects on this page. Here, you can see how your money is at work to make your neighborhood better and build up Grandview.
FACILITIES: $6,000,000
This money is designated for renovations at Grandview City Hall, Grandview Police Department, and a future DMV Annex located next door to City Hall at 1102 Main Street.
COMPLETED: $700,000 Renovations for NEW Grandview DMV
- The new Grandview DMV at 1102 Main opened to the public on February 5th, 2024 and is open for business. Collections for Jackson County Property Taxes are also at this location.
COMPLETED: $6.8M for Grandview City Hall and Police Department
- City Hall and Police Department reopened to the public in Mid-December of 2024.

STREETS, SIDEWALKS, PARKING LOTS: $12,400,000
A majority of the money in the bond package is designated for streets & sidewalks. The funds will allow nearly a quarter of Grandview streets to be resurfaced.
BACKGROUND:
- Crews began installing new sidewalks, curbs, handicap accessible ramps and resurfacing streets in May of 2023.
- About 35 streets will be resurfaced annually from 2023-2025 as part of bond (see map below).
- The View Parking lot repairs were completed in October 2023.

These funds are slated for only Grandview Fire Department needs, including a new ladder truck and renovations at Fire Stations.
CURRENTLY:
- Construction on Fire Station No. 2 broke ground in November 2023 and completed spring 2024.
- Construction on Fire Station No. 3 began spring 2024 and was completed fall 2024.

Custom-build ladder truck has now been ordered with arrival expected by end of 2025.
