Grandview, MO
Home MenuWelcome to the Grandview Fire Department. We offer fire protection services in two ways: fire prevention and fire suppression. The department also provides emergency medical services.
Our fire prevention efforts are divided into three categories. The first is through community risk and public education. The department provides speakers for various public and private groups. Our second dimension is through fire code enforcement. The City of Grandview abides by the 2012 International Codes and conducts approximately 1000 fire inspections annually. Third, in conjunction with the Building Department, we review submitted plans on fire sprinkler and alarm systems, kitchen-hood extinguishing systems, portable fire extinguishers, fire rated construction, travel distances to exits and emergency lighting.
In July of 2018, Grandview received an updated ISO rating from four to two. In order to maintain this rating the department is made up of three shifts consisting of 13 personnel each. The administrative staff consists of a Shift Commander/Assistant Chief assigned to each shift, Administrative Assistant, Fire Marshal and the Fire Chief.
Sincerely,
Ron Graham
