Ride-A-Long Program

Below are the guidelines for the Grandview Police Department ride-a-long program: 

  • The minimum age for participants is 18 years old. 
  • If participant has not reached their 21st birthday, a parent/guardian signature is needed. 
  • A Release of Liability Form shall be completed /submitted prior to the ride-along.
  • Photo ID must be submitted along with application. 
  • Ride-a-longs are limited to one person per patrol unit. 
  • Participants will be limited to (2) ride-a-longs per year. 
  • The program is designed to serve Grandview residents; however, exceptions can be made for qualifying participants.  If not a Grandview resident, contact a Division Commander by phone to determine eligibility.
  • Final approval will be at the discretion of a Division Commander.
