The Grandview Police Department is dedicated to student safety and being a positive influence to everyone in the community. Therefore, the City has partnered with the Grandview C-4 School District to provide dedicated police officers as School Resource Officers (SROs).
School Resource Officers
The primary mission of the School Resource Officer is to provide a visible and positive image for law enforcement among students. SROs provide confidential counseling to students concerning the problems faced by youth today, while helping students make positive choices in their lives. They strive to ensure a healthy school environment where teachers feel safe to teach, and students feel safe enough to learn.
The Grandview SRO program was established to strengthen and enhance the high school and middle school safe planning efforts. The SRO provides security, safety, education, and counseling for students and staff.
