SMOKE DETECTORS: required on every level and in all bedrooms.
CARBON MONOXIDE DETECTORS: required when there are gas appliances, gas furnance, gas hot water heater, or an attached garage.

Dwellings must be registered yearly. Registrations are due on December 31st for the following calendar year.
RENTAL AND NON-OWNER OCCUPIED INSPECTION PROGRAM
Approved by the Board of Aldermen January 22, 2019, this new ordinance (below) will require inspections of rental and non-owner occupied property before being occupied by tenants. Inspections will not start immediately. Property owners will notified when inspections are scheduled to begin.

(4) (D) states: Nothing in this section shall convey or establish a right to cultivate medical marijuana in a facility where state law or a private contract would otherwise prohibit doing so.
